Review Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson

Review of  Hunting Lila  by Sarah Alderson   9780857071958  pub Aug 2011 Simon & Shuster

From the outset of Hunting Lila you are in with the action, and the twists and turns as Lila discovers the truth about her life is subjective to who she is talking to, are enough to land you in hospital with severe whiplash.

In a debut novel that is gripping from start to finish, Sarah Alderson  intertwines the fates of Lila, her brother and the boy she has loved forever with those of the very people they wish to avoid, and the need to find out how, simply made me read faster as the pages remaining dwindled.

The sadness I felt to find that the last few pages of the book were only acknowledgements is a testament to the skill with which Alderson has developed her characters to entice the reader to want to know what happens next.

I can only hope that the sequel will be soon available to quench my thirst.
