Review Paradise by Joanna Nadin

Review  Paradise  by Joanna Nadin  pub Sept 2011  9781406324747

It was a talisman, a magic amulet to change my life.

When Billie recieves a letter in the post it contains a key, a magic amulet as she likes to call it. The letter tells her that Grandma has passed away leaving Billie her house by the sea which gives her the chance to escape from life in London, - but does she really want to leave her home and live by the sea?

Finally convinced, because of her desire to find out who her father really was, Billie, her mum and half brother pack up their belongings and leave their old life behind. With unexpected twists and turns along the way and a sorely broken heart, Billie manages to get to the bottom of things. In this story Joanna Nadin switches between the past and present of the house, its inhabitants and their good and bad times.

I enjoyed this book very much and I loved the twists and unexpeted turns in the story. If there was a sequel I would read it straight away to see if things stayed smooth for Billie and everyone around her.
