Review of Hollow Earth by John and Carol Barrowman

Review of ‘Hollow Earth’ by John and Carole E Barrowman

Buster Books, Feb 2012  9781907151644:

Free of the camp, heroic figure that springs to mind at the mention of John Barrowman, he and his sister Carole E Barrowman have created something entirely new with their debut book, ‘Hollow Earth’.
Matt and Em are half Animare, and half Guardian, and discovering the extent to which their powers are growing is thrilling and gripping as the expert way in which the Barrowmans drip-feed the information throughout the story maintained the desire to read on.
As the tension builds and the ‘goodies’ are separated from the ‘baddies’, puzzles are solved… and created, and as the final page is turned the only thought left running through your head is, ‘where’s the next one?!’
